Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide Block

The nitride bonded silicon carbide products are prepared using high grade silicon carbide and industrial silicon powder as starting materials, shaping by vibration pressing and firing by step high pressure nitration sintering. They are characterized by good corrosion resistance to cryolite, good oxidation resistance, high hot modulus of rapture, good thermal conductivity and long campaign life. They are ideal side wall materials for large prebaked aluminum electrolytic cells.
